Berlin live band Komfortrauschen drop ‘K’, their much-anticipated debut album, on home label Springstoff. This acclaimed live outfit of Laurenz Karsten, Phillip Oertel and Tim Sarhan describe themselves as “three precision obsessed control freaks that have honed their craft to a German industrial perfection.” They have an uncompromising sound that welds together propulsive drums, unrepentant bass lines and searing guitars that cut through like acid.
Their hedonistic live techno is crafted in analogue fashion with traditional instruments filtered through an impressive array of pedals and effects. Since forming in 2014, Komfortrauschen has played regularly at cult venues like Sisyphos, Kantine am Berghain and Kater Blau as well as all over Europe and beyond. Now they are ready for the world stage as they drop this vital debut album.

Nine Inch Nails – All The Love In The World
As a musician who has played in a lot in bands, before I discovered electronic music I was strongly influenced by grunge and Nine Inch Nails. Trent Reznor’s work as an uncompromising mastermind with attitude, as a sound designer, as a multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer of beautiful filmscores is still a huge source of inspiration for me.

Modeselektor makes me want to bang my head against the wall! Whether it’s Moderat, Modeselektor, as remixers or label bosses: their work is raw, dirty, urban – beautifully melancholic at the same time, full of detail and surprises with taste.

Trentemøller – Polar Shift
What a great track! When I first heard it in 2006 I was just starting to dig into techno music. I was amazed how noisy and full of clicks and cuts a track can be and yet still sound so clean and balanced. Trentemøller is a master of frequencies. I just love the part with the backbeat starting around 3:02. Very groovy!
Plastikman – Glob
This is what a call a great bassline! And this is such a relaxed track I still love to listen to at home.
