Armia and Arsham, better known as the Vessbroz, an electronic DJ/Producer duo whose back catalogue and fan base speaks for itself. Their signature sound is best summed up as exquisitely produced, hard-hitting dance style with a touch of quirkiness. The Vessbroz’s list of career highlights is seriously impressive! Some of their achievements include an album release with Sony Records titled ‘Lost’, landing a top 100 spot in the Netherlands’ album chart and their single ‘Nothing’ reaching the top 40 position on the US Billboard Chart for 7 weeks, whilst gaining support from the living legend 50 Cent. They also went on to be featured on the cover page of DJ Magazine and were the Official Coca-Cola DJ for the 2016 tour. We sat down with the Vessbroz boys for an exclusive ‘Back To Mine’ interview.
1. Michael Jackson – Smooth Criminal
This song is one of those songs that only come about once in a lifetime. No one else can be compared to Michael Jackson and he was our favorite artist all throughout our childhood and he is still our favourite today, and also we love the music video of this song, so creative and nicely done, not to mention the iconic music video.
2. Pitbull – Give Me Everything ft. Ne-Yo, Afrojack, Nayer
We can only describe this song as a creation by amazing and extremely talented people. We had so many memories with this song and it still gives us Goosebumps when we listen to it today.
3. Modern Talking – Brother Louie
This is a song to listen when you’re crushing on someone! The melody and chords puts you in such a good mood that you forget about time and location, we simply love this song.
4. DJ Aligator Project – The Whistle
‘The Whistle’ introduced us to dance music and the DJ word. DJ Aligator’s mad and unique and way ahead of his time with this song.
5. Tiësto – Red Lights
An absolute masterpiece from Tiesto, and a must-listen song for us when we are on the highway and especially if there’s a view of a sunset!
6. David Guetta – Play Hard ft. Ne-Yo, Akon
David Guetta brilliantly made this song, it’s just so dancey and creative. Both NeYo and Akon’s voices are perfectly matched with the song. We’re obsessed with the vibe of it.
7. Calvin Harris & Disciples – How Deep Is Your Love
So simple yet so complicated, this song has everything a hit song needs and we love to listen to it, in the car, at parties, even in the shower. Its just such a tune!
8. Calvin Harris – Blame ft. John Newman
Wild beat with emotional vocal, such a perfect combination. We love this song so much and we play different remixes of this song most of the time in our DJ sets.
9. Akcent – That’s My Name
We always used to listen to this song when we were teenagers and we always imagined that we were playing this song for a crowd with screens that show our name and we would point to those giant screens whilst singing: ‘that is my name, that is my name, that is my name!’
10. Vessbroz – Nothing (Lyrics Video) ft. Kyle Davis
This is a song that completely changed our life by getting us signed to Sony Music and hitting the U.S billboard mainstream top 40 songs. When we listen to it now, of course, we always think how much better we could make it now that we are more experienced but that is the song that we will never forget or regret releasing and that is why that is the last song of our Top 10 all-time favorite songs.
