Back to Mine with Unklevon

French artist and Boysnoize mainstay Unklevon returns with more bristling electro sounds on his excellent ‘Sharping Shadow’ EP. The no-nonsense Unklevon project was born after years of experimentation. It exists independently of any specific aspect of the music scene but combines all niches within the worlds of electro and techno. Unklevon debuted on this label in early 2019, and has also landed on FLASH and Nechto. His tunes have picked up notable support from Perc, Nastia and Amelie Lens, amongst other big names, and this white label 12″ is an essential offering of electronic dynamite. A perfect opportunity for DMCWORLD to grab a stunning Back To Mine 10…

1 – Royce Da 5’9 & DJ PREMIER – BOOM
I’m not going to focus only on electronic music and really talk about what I listen at home. So, favorite home listening records of all time could only start with this classic Royca da 5’9 & DJ Premier “Boom”. I think this record will follow me forever

2 – DAFT PUNK – Revolution 909
Homework by Daft Punk is the album I listened to the most from my 12-13 years old and that I still listen to a few times a year. Timeless, and the track «Revolution 909» reflects it perfectly.

3 – DOPPLEREFFEKT – Cellular Phone
Dopplereffekt was a big inspiration for me, the accuracy and depth of their track is incredible, the whole album “Gesamtkunstwerk” is a journey. “Cellular Phone” is one of the bombs among many others in their discography.

4 -THE HACKER – SHOCKWAVE

The Hacker is a living legend, he brought a lot to electronic music in France, he also contributed a lot in my musical education.

5 – DJ STRINGRAY – NO KNOCK

Nothing but respect for DJ STRINGRAY, for his career, and for what he gives to the whole scene, a true inspiration.

6 – BEASTIE BOYS – Intergalactic

When it comes to classics, I have to put this one on the list, it even speaks for itself, a masterpiece.

Beastie Boys - Intergalactic

7 – DJ Mehdi – Saharian Break
Ed Banger is part of my teenage years, and DJ MEHDI in particular, because I found his productions on this label but also on other rap groups that I listened like “113” for example. I didn’t have the honor to meet him personally, but I had the chance to see him on stage and I rarely saw someone who transmitted so much energy and smile.

8 – The Prodigy – Smack My Bitch Up
The Prodigy was the first concert of my life, my older brother took me there when I was just old enough to go. It was amazing.

The whole album “SEX WITH THE MACHINES” is a ballad, listening to Anthony Rother has also helped me a lot in my musical development for years.
