W.LV.S (The Driver & Electric Rescue) – Back to Mine

Activists and fervent rave militants The Driver and Electric Rescue come together for a superb new EP as W.LV.S. It lands on ASTROPOLIS Records and features vocals from Louisahhh and remixes from Cuften and Tommy Four Seven. ‘Guilty’ is the third EP for this outfit after their acclaimed ‘Misericordia EP’ soundtracked Sous Le Donjon, a 2017 documentary about Manu and Astropolis, the festival he was resident at from 1995 onwards. Manu Le Malin is a genuine legend in France who used to turn up to illegal raves with his record bag and sneak onto the decks. He has a legion of dedicated fans who revere him for his unwavering devotion to the world of hardcore and has incredibly dexterous skills in the DJ booth and a raw, visceral sound in the studio. Whenever he releases music either solo or with Electric Rescue the underground world sits up and takes noteA perfect opportunity to grab a very cool Back To Mine 10 from them…

MANU LE MALIN AKA THE DRIVER

Gojira – The Gift of Guilt

Simply the best band and live act

Goblin – Suspiria Theme – 1977

The sound behind Dario Argento’s movie score

NTM – That’s My People

A French hip hop classic, and a track with lyrics that speak to a lot of us

Suprême NTM - That's My People (Clip officiel)

Toots and the Maytals – Pressure Drop

Toots and the Maytals - Pressure drop

Barbara – La Solitude

No need to say anything, just listen

Electric Rescue

Moderat – Bad Kingdom

This track is magic, I can put it on whenever I want the magic to happen to me, but it’s also the track we share the most together with my son ZADIG. We will go to see them live in Paris on Nov 1st and we are impatient!

Moderat - Bad Kingdom

Radiohead – Idioteque

This is the track that led me to discover Radiohead more deeply, 20 years ago. I knew them before but did not pay Yorke’s projects.

Clark – Black Stone

I’m a super fan of Chris Clarke. I discovered him with his first album on Warp with a highlight track “Wolf” and I never left him. He surprised me again with the track “Black Stone” with a piano-only sound, huge

Depeche Mode – In Your Room (Devotional tour live)

Depeche mode is special to me, they gave me the wish to become a musician and it happened as they opened the light in me.  That special track in your room that was playing during the devotional tour when Dave Gahan was deep into drugs but also deep into emotion, please watch this track live at Devotional tour

Autechre – Tri Repetae

I’m a super fan from sophisticated and experimental electronica and Autechre are masters of this kind of music, and also show a large panel of possibilities and experimentations
