Celebrating a landmark anniversary, Paul Sawyer will release ’30 Years A DJ’ this month: a thirty track collection of original productions and remixes from a truly remarkable career. To coincide with the release, Paul is also set to host a 30 hour radio show on DI.FM, featuring 30 guest DJs including Booka Shade, Paul Oakenfold, Kristina Sky, Dave Seaman and Anthony Pappa.
DMCWorld goes back to mine with the progressive maestro!
Sunscreem – Love U More
For me this has to be one of the best tracks ever made. Brings back so many memories of many amazing events over the years as well as playing to all my friends at various parties and hearing everyone sing along.
Leftfield – Melt
One of those tracks to lay back close your eyes and lose yourself!
Solarstone – Seven Cities
If anyone asked me which tune sums up Ibiza, this is it. I can’t imagine how many times I played this over the years. Pure euphoria.
BT – Flaming June
One thing I love with progressive house, is the journey. I’d say this is my favourite ever release from BT and definitely takes you on one hell of a musical journey.
Black 8 & Arrab – Sandwaves
A modern day classic progressive house track that is guaranteed to get the dance floor moving.
Jam & Spoon – Follow Me (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix)
The original was always a trancy track that never disappointed on the dancefloor; this rework by Jerome Isma-Ae just takes it to another level. One of those tracks to finish a set on, leaving people wanting more.
Stan Kolev, Aaron Suiss – Aftermath
Big brassy synth lead that sounds amazing on a club system. This sums up progressive house in one track, love it.
Betoko – To The Moon
The bassline and arp just make this track and Betoko is the master of grabbing your attention with all his music.
Ana Be – Same Old Story [Krafted Records]
My absolute favourite vocalist at the moment who is the Queen of dreamy chilled songs and writes amazing lyrics.
Reflekt – Need to Feel Loved (Paul Sawyer Remix)
Probably the most popular remix I’ve made that ended up getting played in sets by Tiesto, Solarstone, Aly & Fila, Gabriel & Dresden, Wally Lopez and many more. I sent this to Seb Fontaine and Cristoph when I finished it as I knew Seb made the original and it was pure coincidence that the label were releasing new versions of this by Cristoph. Was funny as Altra Moda tried to block me giving it away! Every time I drop this in my sets, the reaction is just unreal.
It’s still available on my Soundcloud as a free download:
