Taken from Unique 3’s last album ‘Invasive Signals’ which is currently being remixed by a plethora of producers, ‘Rocks The Bass’ is textbook Unique 3; hooky melodies, and truck loads of bleeps taking you back to old skool 90’s house music where of course he found fame on TOTP and in the boxes of many a Illegal Warehouse DJs’ box. The EP comes in 2 parts with a total of 8 remixes taking in the sights and sounds of dubstep, electro and breaks. Stand outs include Si Begg’s magically bass manipulated bleepy funky breaker, (sublime on a big system or even as a phone ring!), Cakeboy’s breaks bass botherer, aimed straight at the dancefloor and Run Riots driving bass line which does indeed ‘Rock The Bass’ for a massive builder. Quality package from a quality label.
