Slam , MR V – Take you there. It´s not the most melodical or emotional track of the year (in fact is so raw) but it´s been sounding in every techno (and not that techno) sets this year. 2016 was a fantastic year for Slam and their label Soma.
Album
AFFKT – Son of Thousan sounds – Sincopat. Beatiful job, I´ve been enjoying it quite a lot.
Remix
Audion – Mouth to Mouth (Dense & Pika remix) – The original is always in my bag and these guys made a very good job.
Label
Drumcode. I love every release, the artists that are envolved and the philosophy of the label.
Breakthrough label
We are the Brave, Alan Fitzpatrick´s label. Even though they only have 2 releases, they are making a strong noise in the scene.
Producer
Enrico Sanguiuliano. All his productions are massive and people from all the diferent styles love and play them.
Festival
Awakenings. It is the perfect festival to me. Even though I´ve still never been playing there. Hopefully soon!
Music Conference
ADE . Amsterdam keep on doing a great job those days convining superb parties with the conference . Also everybody is there and is the perfect place to meet.
Radio Show
Oddcast Radio Show. Arjun Vagale and myself are launching a new label in 2017 (Odd Recordings) but we started with our radio shows/ podcasts already and the reactions are been great so far.
Mainstage DJ
Adam Beyer. He keeps suprising me and making outstanding sets everytime I listening to him. Really admire him.
Resident DJ
Andres Campo. Resident of the famous Florida 135. He is an amazing artist and really know how to make the people crazy on his closing sets.
Club
Dificult to choose just one but I’m gonna go for Magdalena (Berlin). The soundsystem is unbeleable and is the perfect place to go as much techno as you want.
New Studio Equipment/Software
I bought Komplete Kontrol early this year and Im so happy with it. Perfect partner with the Komplete plug ins pack.
Personal highlight of 2016
Speaking of gigs, my “arriving” to South America this year. I´ve been playing a lot there and I’m so in love with the crowd there. The best thing is it looks like this relationship is growing and growing and I’m feeling it’s gonna keep this way for 2017. Regarding production, seeing my name in a Drumcode Release for the first time.
Your ambition for 2017…
Keep learning and playing all around the world, making dance the most amount of people that I can and debuting in some given Festivals and Clubs I love. Make our label Odd Recordings grow, starting with some label parties and showing it to the world. Focus on a specific goals regarding production and make something really big.
