Tropical Disco are thrilled to be hosting Night Tales on Friday 21st June, bringing with them a formidable entourage and their very best wax.
‘Both Joey Negro & Marshall Jefferson have been a massive influence on Tropical Disco Records so it’s huge honour to have such musical royalty come and join us as guests’ gush Tropical Disco as the godfather of UK disco house and edits, Joey Negro is announced as the Secret Guest joining Marshall Jefferson.
Tropical Disco’s output the last year hasn’t gone unnoticed: with two releases this year reaching Traxsource’s #No 1 slot, and a string of consistently successful 2018 releases continuing to receive substantial airplay, 2019 is Tropical Disco’s year.
In addition to their rapid release schedule, Moodena and Sartorial have sustained a solid residency at No. 90 and held up the disco flag across seas in Barcelona, Bali and Tunisia.
Certified UK demigod of disco and Z Records founder Joey Negro is a master British DJ, producer and remixer with a plethora of pseudonyms including Akabu, The Sunburst Band, Doug Willis, Sessomatto, Jakatta and Z Factor. From chart hits to acclaimed album, compilations and remixes Joey Negro continues to headline International events spreading the disco house gospel.
Joined by another long-time friend and the undisputable ‘godfather of house’ Marshall Jefferson. Marshall will be showcasing a rare and exclusive disco set, a genre he has an unfathomable knowledge of but often doesn’t have the opportunity to fully explore in his sets.

To those who haven’t been – Night Tales occupies two 1,600 sq. ft. railway arches and East London’s largest covered terrace (4,000 sq. ft.) tucked away in Hackney Central.
It also boasts a fully equipped Function 1 sound system and an idyllic, sparse garden.
