What is your favourite memory of Ibiza 2012?

“Seeing my bandmate in All That Glitters (single due out on Ministry of Sound Australia this Fall) – Peter Meyes, who is also in a band called PNAU share mainstage with Elton John at the 123 festival.”

“‘No Beef’ by Steve Aoki & Afrojack ft. Miss Palmer.”

Most overplayed record of the summer?

“Still – Avicii – ‘Levels’.”

Favourite resident DJ on the island?

Too many to list, there are some incredible residents out there.”

Why is Ibiza still the best party location in the world?

“The scenery. Even though it’s changed a lot in recent years, you still can’t take away the fact that it’s arguably one of the most beautiful and magical party locations in the world.”

Ibiza is now split straight down the middle with serious DJs spinning quality house and techno on one side, and DJs playing the big room bangers on the other. Discuss…

“Unfortunately or fortunately that’s always bound to happen when something stops being a secret destination or movement and radars on the horizon of the mass party consumers. The good thing is that you can still find what you’re looking for there, whether your tastes lean towards the commercial or underground techno side.”

What new party caused the biggest splash in their debut summer this year?

“Tiesto’s party at Pacha. Also Luciano at Usuahia.”

Favourite restaurant and beach in Ibiza?

“I love the Balafia restaurant. My fav beach is Las Salinas.”

Do you think the 123 Rocktronic Festival that featured the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Elton John, Sting, David Guetta and Tiesto this year is an important addition to the Ibiza summer, or do you think it is a case of one too many party on an already bulging season?

“123 Festival was one of my favorite Ibiza experiences this year as I mentioned above and I think it’s great that such mainstream icons as Elton John, Sting and Lenny Kravitz are gracing the island with their presence and adding a fresh touch to the regular party season.”

What is the one record that will always remind you of Ibiza…?

“Leave The World Behind”

Best venue in Ibiza and why?

“I would have to say Pacha because of the crowd and history.”

A lot of money has been spent on the island in recent years improving things, what do you think is the biggest improvement on the island?

“The colour of the sea…just kidding!!”

What nationality are the craziest people on the dancefloor?

“If all nations got together and anointed the craziest people and put them on a boat – that’s what you get in Ibiza.”

Breakthrough artist of 2012?

“Although he’s been a breakthrough for a while now, Skrillex is still on top of my list for 2012, he’s got the best show in the industry.”

If you had to pick one person to go out clubbing with in Ibiza, who would it be?

“No one famous, just my NY friends…”

And finally, tell us about your first trip to the white isle…

“I was coming back from a festival in Belgium and had a layover in Barcelona to fly to Alicante (Spain) and spontaneously decided to take a plane to Ibiza instead. Been a fan ever since.”
