Prok & Fitch

The deadly duo return with a stunning Stealth Ibiza compilation

Welcome back to DMCWORLD towers dudes. A brilliant new Stealth Ibiza compilation swinging our way this week with many exclusives included. Let’s begin the three new productions from yourselves – talk us through them…

“Here we go…”

Prok & Fitch pres. Salome de Bahia – Outro Lugar (Prok & Fitch 2012 Re-Pitch)

“Revisiting our first ever production picked up by Roger Sanchez for Stealth. Very happy with this one strong Balearic groove, infectious piano hook & timeless vocal. We’ve also done a slammin festival mix, soon to be unleashed, but felt this mix was right for the comp.”

Prok & Fitch vs. Amo & Navas – The Crest (Original Mix)

“We’ve been wanting to colab with the very talented Spanish duo for a long time, the epic melodic break will definitely see some hands in the air, can’t wait to drop this on the Space Terrace.”

Prok & Fitch – Aztec (Original Mix)

“Nice groovy track on our Floorplay Label, made purely for the dancefloor and seems to work everywhere we drop it, fits nicely in the mix & takes it up a notch.”

You also reached out to your good friend Marco Lys for a collaboration on the remix of ‘The New Wave’, take us through little beauty…

“The original is one of our favorite productions to date, so jumped at the thought or giving it a 2012 mix exclusively for this comp. Teaming up this time with the talented Marco Lys, we decided to keep the essence of the track the same just brining it bang up to date, merging our production styles that are pretty similar.”

What are the other highlights nestled in there?

“Spoilt for choice, narrowing it down to just a couple we’d have to point out :
Franco De Mulero & Hector Romero – Between Us – Amazing Track, this encompasses everything that Ibiza means to us, soon as we were sent we knew we wanted to start the mix with it. And My Digital Enemy – Reaper – without doubt one of our biggest tracks so far this year, it has an amazing sample and is produced by our good friends, dropped at the right time this really is a very special track.”

Was the album a tough project to put together?

“Nope the opposite actually, as it was an Ibiza compilation we had the freedom to cover all aspects of house that we love, without having to compromise. From the deeper Balearic stuff to more full on main room sounds. Was great to have such freedom from Stealth, there wasn’t any tracks we were specifically told to include just whatever worked in the mix.”

Your partnership with Stealth began back in 2008 with the track ‘Outro Lugar’. What is it about the label you admire…

“Yeah we’ve fortunately been involved with Stealth from day one & just clicked, both in a professional & personal relationship. For us the main attraction was they’ve always been honest & upfront regardless the situation. Having Roger being the front man for the label, carry’s some serious wait & has certainly been instrumental in our career.”

You are no strangers to Ibiza having played there many times. What are the dates for this summer?

“As always the highlight of the year, we’ll be @ Space on Monday 9th of July & August 6th for Monday Calling. Then @ Eden on August 31st for Kinky Malinki. Then back in September for a holiday.”

Why is Ibiza so special to you?

“Ibiza has it all, amazing restaurants, weather, beaches and without doubt the best club scene in the world. We’ve both been going every year on holiday since teenagers. Have met some lifelong friends on benders over there & some great memories.”

What have been some of the big days and nights you have had on the white isle?

“There’s been a few, most recently last year we went over with our other half’s & some good mates. One day/ night stood out in particular, the day was spent getting burnt & messing about in Formenttera. Then straight back for a messy one @ Space for Carl Cox, sorry that’s pretty much all either of us can remember.”

What is coming next out of the studio from you?

“Busy busy, were in Ibiza working on a collaboration with Roger Sanchez next week, lots of a new original ideas to finish as well as colabs with Alex Kenji, Chus, Bass Kleph, Amo & Navas & Marco Lys.”
