Alex O’Rios – Dank Farrik (Extended Mix) [Nostalgia]
Dank Farrik is one of Alex O’Rios best tracks on Nostalgia. In this track Alex combines lush melodies, with a broken beats and wired and deep FX from another universe. This is the mixture which makes a masterpiece of a track.
Kasper Koman – In Circles (Mike Griego ‘Deep’ Remix) – Juicebox
This track is such a great example of the essence of a quality progressive tune. It sounds easy but every element has to sit in the perfect place. The balance of not overdoing it is key. Simple Melodic line with four tones and a repetitive rhythmical structure based on a constant evolving arrangement. Gorgeous!
Atar – Unburn – Meanwhile Horizon
This track starts spacy and athmospheric driving the listener slowly into the groove. Entering darker pad elements and melodic bits from time to time this track sucks the listener in. Notice the subtle interplay of reversed vocal fx, melodic elements and percussive fx. Fantastic!
MUUI – Rate Of Change – Black Hole
If you like dub delays you’re right in the place. This track from Muui is Printing rhythm and groove into its melodies by heavily use of dub delays. Melting melodies into each other creates new rhythmical motives in the melody.
Kasper Koman – Loco Motif (Tantum Remix) – Lost & Found
Simple but effective marching bass line combined with a syncopated melody. Kasper is a master of slowly introducing new remarkable musical ideas throughout his tracks. Teasing them slowly in but taking them away straight afterwards to bring them back in its full glory in the peak of the track. Goose bumps!
GMJ & Matter – EXT 135 (GMJ & Matter Ambient Reprise) – Meanwhile
A spacious ambient piece by one of my big idols GMJ & Matter. The track creates its own space slowly introducing a pulsing looped rhythm. A delayed Piano line and gorgeous vocal chops is everything it takes to create a masterpiece.
59 Perlen – Drift (Riigs Remix) – iM Electronica
Drift is a deep groover. it starts as an ambient piece but evolves into a nice deep burner with dub influences. Nice lush bur also deep!
Guy J – 94 Blossom – Lost & Found
Arp driven melodic line getting wired from time to time. I love to have an element in the track which is going mental from time to time. The track builds so much tension and the listener is always waiting what will happen next. The heavily delayed guitar line in the second half blow you away! Fly with Guy J!
Envotion – Adrift (Sebastian Sellares Remix) – Songspire Records
Melodic rich piece by Sebastian Selares. Trancy roots perfectly transported into the progressive world. Big emotional moments in this track bouncing back into hypnotizing beat. Something I consider playing to transform the people from the sunset to the dancefloor.
Dowden, AndreaS Buhler – Nixie – Solis
Following up on the former track..my actual track Nixie together with Dowden on Alex O’Rions Solis records is the perfect round up. It transfers perfectly from the sunset of the beach right onto the dancefloors of the nightclubs. If you wanna dance now you are welcome! That is why we make music.
Dowden & Andreas Bühler ‘Nixie’ is out now on Solis Records.
