Lucid Dreaming is a label that likes to offer up richly musical house. It does so once again here in fine form with a new EP from Aarin Fraser, who serves up two great new singles and one of them then gets remixed by the long standing house hero SIS.
The title track Through the Darkness I See Light goes first and is a deep, syrupy, spiritual house cut with wavy beats, starry melodies and expansive night skies opening out above you up top. The driving drums ensure your head is as busy as your heel and it’s a fine opener. Another Way is then a more punchy but just as spine tingling tune. The hits here are tougher and more coarse but dreamy, whispered vocals lend it a nicely tender touch. SIS remixes then cut into something for the peak time. He ups the energy, makes the drums bigger and makes more of the vocal. This is main room but melodic house at its best.
