AudioHell Department Records, run by legendary Italian DJ and producer of the same name, now serves up a hot new EP that has been produced by the boss himself in cahoots with Malatoid. Malatoid is also an Italian producer and he puts out his tackle on his own label Malatoid Records. Together they make for a formidable pairing.
The first cut is amusingly entitled Dreaming Parmesan. It is a brooding house cut with frazzled bass and stomping drums. Big chords smear out up top in all directions and add to the sense of drama. The Green Light is another twisted tech affair. This one has slow mid tempo drums and bold bass strokes making you jolt your body to the beat. You Are Not Alone is quicker and slicker, with a more menacing feel and spine tingling melodies extending out into the night like a cosmic wave. Finally, Repetition Is Key is rubbery and rich, deep and tripped out. It has wobbly bass and groaning, weeping synths that cannot fail to lift you off your feet and get stuck in the groove. As such, it rounds out another fantastic EP.
