For any serious music connoisseur this is nothing short of an absolute must have, or in other words, do or die. Even if the thought of yet another Disco rerelease/re-edit/remix leaves you cold when it comes to the seventies this retrospective will help you trip the light fantastic just one more time. The expansive sleeve notes tell Philadelphia’s story of these classic releases and the musicians who played some of the founding grooves for dance music while Dimitri’s flawless selection of songs shines just as proudly. The collection features gems from The Trammps, The Jacksons, and of course Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes with the inclusion of the original and the obligatory re edited versions from Dimitri being respectively received.
