On listening to this it’s easy to see why Kraak & Smaak are so in demand as remixers, as they manage to apply their funky sensibilities to each track – but at the same time remain gloriously unpredictable. One look at the artists they take on confirms the variety of the source material – Skeewiff, Dorfmeister, Sarah Bettens, Jamiroquai, Max Sedgley – the list goes on. Highlights are the atmospheric take on Skeewiff’s ‘Man Of Constant Sorrow’, the tweaked-up organ funk of Fort Knox 5’s’Learning It The Hard Way’, the Balearic house of Bittersweet’s’Mating Game’ and a cracking take on Sedgley’s ‘Devil Inside’. A great companion to the boys’ well received ‘Boogie Angst’ album.
