Border Crossing have now scaled down to a duo, but Alex Angol and Seorais
Graham sound more at ease on this their second album, which is an
intoxicating blend of hip hop, soul and dancehall among others. Guests Ricky
Ranking, Jehst and Lethal bring their own distinctive vocals to a track
each, while Vicky Virtue fronts the intriguing ‘Militant Style’, with its
underlying tribal beat, and Alex Watson works good wordplay into the soulful
‘Out With The Old’. The title track is perhaps the most probing lyrically,
summing up the album nicely – atmospheric beats with a message that isn’t
rammed too heavily into the listener’s ear.
