MANHEAD
MANHEAD
RELISH

This tasty eponymous album is littered with fine electro moments that will immediately (and rightly so) draw comparison to the likes of Mylo, Annie and even Ewan Pearson. Masterminded by Swiss producer Robi Insinna, who’s no stranger to critical acclaim – his 2001 ‘It Rough’ under his Headman persona is still rated as an essential amongst its peers. ‘Manhead’ it is exactly what you’d expect given the credentials – ‘Doop’ (which previously featured on an Output compilation) is pure downbeat house cut from the same switch as Metro Area; ‘Show Me The Way’ and ‘Sister’ are pure oddball crystalline electronica. ‘Birth, School, Work, Death’ perfectly encapsulate the producer’s life philosophy, and whilst paying homage to The Godfathers’ 1988 hit of the same, name is another original offering of creative of the mind that make Manhead one of the names to watch in 2005.
