Love or loath Mariah and her music the stats speak for themselves; the most successful female recording artist of all time, and one whom over the years has also done her fair share for supporting dance music. ‘The Remixes’ pulls together 22 of her most inspired dance and R&B mixes on album that largely compiled itself. Long-time producer David Morales features heavily on the likes of ‘Dreamlover’, ‘Emotions’, ‘Fantasy’, ‘Honey’ and ‘My All’ to name just a handful, resulting in an overall feel that whilst slick and polished is also a fairly tried-and-tested formula. Creatively then it’s the second disc with a plethora of hip-hop guests and samples galore that really puts the sass in your step. She might be nick named ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’ but I wouldn’t mind a piece of her eccentric millions.
