Unforgivably late for this one as my head was stuck up a bear’s bottom. Here’s my personal faves from San Francisco teaming up again with Amsterdam’s Mike L on another quartet of their inimitable wigged-out funky house. The title cut weaves female vocal clips, whooshy noises and cool organ waves, introducing firecracker sax in the drop. Party now started, ‘Tears’ goes NY-style deep using the old minimal tactics to good effect before ‘I Like That Beat’ whips up a butt-tugging groove by taking a breaks-driven detour. ’High Volume’ toughens up the beats to steer into a contagious, sexy groove with female ’ooh yeahs’ and a spectacular bass entry. Another corker.
