SKEEWIFF
PRIVATE FUNKTION
JALAPENO

Skeewiff have a distinct winning formula for making music.  True, it’s not groundbreaking or attuned to the latest digital revolution, but people enjoy it, and Skeewiff are not going to tinker with the formula for “Private Funktion”, their third studio album.  You’ll know the formula by now – groovy organ based breakbeat that happily sidles from the loungier end of the room to the funky breaks side with equal finesse, ensuring no Martinis are spilt along the way. Hits like their stunningly good version of “Man Of Constant Sorrow” are included, alongside the recent “Triumph Stag”, which features UK keyboard legend Alan Hawkshaw in full-on blazing hammond glory.  Elsewhere, there’s a dash of Northern soul, some Latin spice, some hip-hop style beats, and an attitude that says turn up the volume and let’s party.  Which you really can’t argue with, can you?
