Pete Martin and Tim Healey admirably name themselves after Hollywood hell-raiser James Coburn and already had a major floor-wrecker on their hands when the tune originally surfaced on Germany’s Great Stuff Records. It’s big breaks, mighty electro electro riffage and plaintive melody, manhandled with deft trickery on the knobs have proved capable of doing the business. Now it’s been picked up for the UK by Data, who remix-wise have roped in Jean Claude Ades [funky space-house], Paul Rincon [swinging, disco-tinged, great] and the Stanton Warriors [low-slung breaks-whoopee]. This solid package and it’s gonna be on the new Citroen ad, so expect inescapable largeness.
