The latest deal in Color Climax’s five year plan is a grizzly double-bass and flute instrumental with hard rolling drums that sizzle like bacon. It doesn’t really go anywhere and isn’t really supposed to, these Breakin’ Bread 45s being more tools than tunes. Best thing about it is that it sounds just like a long-lost 1993 Hip Hop instrumental, maybe Double XX Posse. Heavy! Flip is chirpy homage to vintage UK Hammond funk of the Alan Hawkshaw ilk.
