Fifth release from the label started by Spain’s J Mekka – who’s also behind iBreaks – unveils new Spanish act Digital Base. The tune boasts a spacey feel which sets it apart from the hard bunch. There’s a sexy female basing her vocal on ‘Take Me To The river’, jazzy keys and an all-round drugged-up ambience. Then Splank Recordings boss-men Groove Allegianceheave in with a funky acid treatment which turns up the 303s and even burst into 4/4 near the end.
