ILs delivers a fine selection of epic, organic breakbeat with a heavy slant
towards the kind of cinematic and expansive tracks that he’s made his name
from. There’s plenty of chopped breaks and deep rolling bass that you’ll be
familiar with and this time there’s vocals galore. Some of tracks have an
almost orchestral quality to them with Ils conducting synths, guitars, drums
and his multitude of vocalists. On many occasions the ethereal beauty of the
delicate musical soundscapes is torn into, by a thundering bass that injects
a power and energy into the tracks. The first single from the album is the
encouragingly titled ‘Everybody Needs a Shrink’ speak for yourself! ?No
Money on Trees’ is another stand out featuring Wunda, a slick take on hip
hop without mimicking the genre. An epic album destined for the big screen!
