Following a first 12” comprising of the invigorating original mix (as well as the Clipz’ mix of “The Slammer”), “Push Up” also benefits from a rather awesome Plump DJs’ re-interpretation. Making great use of the soulful vocal hook (“Push Up”), their mix – which should strike a chord with 4/4 DJs too – boasts the distinctively quirky synths and drum machines of old-school Electro. Expect the Plump’s usual hypnotic bounciness (slamming beats, horn stabs, stoner b-line and sizzling breakdowns) only with a bit of an 80s NY feel to it.
