This West London label has been quietly – or rather noisily – establishing itself as a major force on the breaks scene. For their sixth release, Westway accentuate the punky connations of their Clashtastic name and let the Velour Bros revisit the Roxy club 30 years ago with savage riffs and I guess the sirens from when the Old Bill turned up! There’s also a Rottenesque voice intoing the title. The X-Ray Electro mix does away with the riffage and injects electro riffs to funky effect. After the budgie has a piss, the Dirty Habit breaks Mix takes a minimal electro approach. Maybe unwittingly, the perfect homage to punk rock’s 30th anniversary!
