Outstrip Wax continues its great run of early form with another solid EP. This one comes from Carlos Sanchez and Juliche Hernandez and they both serve up one original each, with remixes from DJ Honesty and Outsrip completing the heady package.
Cosmos goes first and is a perfectly warm and borderless warm up tune that rolls deep. Slick drums, goes pads and worlds vocals all make it so. The DJ Honesty remix is slightly more direct, physical and jerky, with bigger drums and more freewheeling pads as well as plenty of filters applied to the vocals. Some trippy melodies all help make it pop. Obscure then offers up a more swinging garage vibe with skipping drums and razor sharp hi hats getting you on your toes. The remix by Outstrip then reworks it as a more freaky and naughty late night tune with tripped out feels. As such this is a useful EP all round.
