ART OF DISCO
ART OF DISCO
YELLOW PRODUCTIONS

A misleading title and no mistake, given that after a horses dervs of fluffy-ish trad disco courtesy of Freeform Five and Carol Harding, this comp serves up a main course of the type of electro house action tearing the roof of many a mullet friendly nightspot. That said there’s some excellent tracks and mixes on here as you might expect from a Yellow comp. The 2003 mix of Alexander Robotnicks ‘Dance Boy Dance’ succeeds in bringing some much needed warmth and soul to the party, Bob Sinclars unreleased ‘I Wanna Go Bang’ is an outstanding percussive workout and there’s no knocking the DJ T mix of Vince’s ‘Superworld’. Roaring to something of a climax over the second half, ‘Art Of Disco’ will work best for the non-vinyl buying enthusiast looking for a recent round up of creatively coiffure-ed electro action.
