One of the most prolific producers in the UK Hip-Hop scene has hooked up with Dat Sound and is finally dropping his debut mix CD. Coming straight out of Derby the man they call Baby J takes a selection of his own productions (originally blessed by artists such as Skinny Man, Blade, Wu Tang Clan, Bruza and Plan B) and lets the entire UK fraternity (seriously, it’s 68 tracks deep!) pick their favourite to drop some incredible verses on. Although the mixes aren’t as tight as they could be, the production is amazing with some of the beats sounding like classics already and the emcees pulling out all the stops for the biggest Baby of ‘em all, case in point: Rodney P blessing Skinny Man’s “I’ll Be Surprised”.
