FCL aka Belgian DJ/producers San Soda and Red D start 2015 with a bang with each DJ supplying the demand via their own mix across the two CD’s. Red D opens with Bob Moses stunning vocal led, ‘All I Want’ and then soon dips into a diverse selection ranging from deeper, more soulful rhythms through to tougher, techier sounds but which refreshingly keeps the music moving forward. Tracks come from the likes of Paul Hannah’s bouncy, ‘Key Follow’ and Vince Watson ‘s ‘Mystical Rhythm’ while covering all points in between. San Soda then takes the stand with a similarly invigorating mix this time including Disco flavours from Boe & Zak ‘Looking For Love’ and his own classy piano infused ‘Birdies That Fly’, while completing on FCL’s exquisite, ‘Behold’. Either way an excellent selection to open the New Year.
