Defected presents – For The Love of House Vol.7 – (Defected Records)

Volume Seven in the series, without using the now overplayed word classic’s, compiles an outstanding selection of House cuts that refreshingly stand the test of time. Covering many different styles, although always tough and funky, the collection is neatly mixed together by Simon Shaw, however individually they all tell their own story. Funny hearing some of these again, way after their original release date, and them having the very same impact, which in the case of the soulful Cloud 9 ‘Do you Want Me Baby’ and the tougher Photon Inc. featuring Paula Brion ‘Generate Power’ (Wild Pitch Mix) is worth the admission price alone. Good to see Three Kings featuring Jaygun & Bashy ‘Shake Dat Booty’ not getting overlooked too, while it’s always a pleasure to feel the Disco dynamite of DJ Sneak’s, ‘Dj Sneak ‘You Can’t Hide From Your Bud’ and with Quentin Harris’s seminal ‘Let’s Be Young’ you simply can’t go wrong with the number 7.
