The gratuitously grandiose title unlocks a clutch of clandestine, on-edge European and State-side artists who sleep with one eye open and work best on the DL under a full moon. Without intending to be a compilation that puts the frighteners on ears, the lights are best left on for Mnemotrauma forming ‘Waiting for the Sun’, the ditch-digger’s call-to-arms, and the minimalist provoker ‘Alpha Centauri’. Danny DeCock’s solemn ‘GkS’ bombasts drums into spewing out bee swarms, remaining seething without exploding on ‘We Will Come Back’. And with Emynd and Echelon’s bloodshot electronic pursuits, this is cause for gold stars all round.
