“The First Lady” is the fourth & most adventurous album from Faith Evans, reflecting over her turbulent life, & featuring productions from the Neptunes, Mario Winans & Chucky Thompson to name just a few. Highlights include the beautiful “I Don’t Need It”, which sees Faith singing her own soulful lyrics over The Jones Girls’ Philly classic “Nights Over Egypt”. Then there’s the super sassy “Mesmerized”, where The First Lady brings her soul sister credentials to the fore, getting down’n’dirty & showing off her raw talent. As far as guest appearances go, Mario Winans features on “Ever Wonder”, Pharrell & Pusha T turn up on “Goin’ Out”, plus the Twista single “Hope” is here. If you’re into Faith’s current hit “Again”, then you’re gonna lurrve “The First Lady”.
