Following in the footsteps of James Holden, Flash Brothers and Chris Salt, this fourth compilation in the Fear series captures both the essence of the Silver Planet sound as well as that of the mixer. A DJ/producer as well as a classically trained musician, Aidan Lavelle (the brother of you know who) likes his tech-house deep and electronic, with plenty of dreamy accents and epic arrangements, rich aural landscapes only disturbed by the ever-incessant pounding beat. The mix contains five of his own productions under various guises (Ficta “Eli”, Vector 13 “Rise”) as well as six past, present and future Silver Planet releases including “Echo”, Luke Dzierzek’s recent electro-house biggie, and the Roel H remix of the guitar flavoured ‘Speedcats’.
