Hull’s finest, Fila Brazillia, take to the decks for 60 minutes, twisting your arm and teasing you to the dancefloor of your living room, throwing a few interesting curves and moves along the way. Of course, the busy duo, Steve Cobby and Dave McSherry, could easily have just put together an album of their own material (they’ve released eight – count ’em, eight! – albums in ten years), or remixes for other people, including Radiohead, Busta Rhymes, The Orb, and a host of others. Yet they’ve done themselves proud, digging deep beyond the cause for tracks by Xavier Cugat, Bushy, Pepe Deluxe, Goldfrapp, Killing Joke, Yello, and Tiefschwarz’s stupendously good remix of Jolly Music, mixing seamlessly and creating a sense of well-being that only old friends can bring. Fantastic stuff.
