Renaissance and Sander Kleinenberg go back a long way now, and this latest double from the Dutchman forms part of a new venture but keeps up their high standard. The ‘left’ mix that makes up CD1 warms up nicely with the weightless break of Luckystars’ ‘Moscow Traffic’ giving way to a full, easily funky bassline, while OHMNA and DJ Smash power through to the superb closing track, Gui Boratto’s ‘Beautiful Life’. The ‘right’ mix for CD2 is bassy and full bodied, unexpectedly starting in dubby territory before moving through to Nic Fanciulli’s excellent remix of Martin Eyerer & Stephan Hinz’s ‘Tucan’ and Christian Smith & John Selway’s ‘Transit Time’, remixed by Dubfire. Two mighty fine house mixes from a DJ who keeps on getting better.
