FUSE PRESENTS STEVE BUG

MUSIC MAN

The series kicked off by Belgium’s Fuse club and venerable Music Man label has unleashed some belters in the past by names including DJ Hell, Dave Clarke and Joris Voorn. The latest spotlights techno-vet and Fuse resident Steve Bug, who’s done similar on his esteemed Poker Flat label which continues the inimitable and innovative techno path he’s steered since emerging on the German techno scene in the early 90s. Steve weaves a deliriously-intoxicating journey here with his own Poker Flat porkers and other cutting edge belters by Move D, Guido Schneider, Pier Bucci and Foremost Poets [with ‘Reasons To Be Dismal’]. Gorgeous strings, old school melodies and ethereal spaciness ebb and intertwine, spiced up by head-turning classics like Johnny Dangerous’ ‘Problem No. 13 [Beat That Bitch]’ and Rhythim Is Rhythim’s ‘The Dance’, which provides the perfect grand finale.
