For someone who has contributed as much as Gilles Peterson has to UK Dance culture over such a number of years his choice still never fails but to excite, or to convey his passion for great music to the listener. CD one features a faultless selection of gems from Wahoo through to Blaze and beyond, with explicitly soulful songs sitting next to tougher Techy moments like they were made for each other. CD two explores what he is perhaps more obviously known for, featuring as it does a wealth of funky, jazzy numbers via a heavy twist of disco with Rufus, Geraldine Hunt and Earth, Wind & Fire etc all present and correct. Plus, with the added bonus of a third CD comprising of a selection of unmixed tracks it all speaks for itself really.
