My spies tell me the scenes at DC10 – they weren’t allowed to escape until four the next afternoon – are awe-inspiring in the euphoria and messiness stakes. This double-CD set from residents Tania Vulcano and Cirillo provide the perfect soundtrack [and brilliant souvenir for the damaged hordes!]. Tania favours deep-as-you-like funky techno with an insidious minimal feel – meaning very spacey but incluidng names like Villalobos – and its own air of magic. The veteran Cirillo takes a look at some of the club’s anthems, kicking off with the majesty of Slam’s ‘Intensity In Ten Cities’. The fact that Blake Baxter and Ron Trent get a lookin speaks volumes for the open-minded approach to music and mania on display at this disco inferno.
