These 80s compilations are fraut with danger, the track selections often
revealing some long forgotten classics, but dragging out a few tunes you’d
rather not hear again! Thankfully the latest instalment in the hugely
enjoyable 80s series steers clear of this, though it does provide a few
tracks that you could hear on the radio any day – Chaka Khan, Jackson
Sisters, Kool & The Gang’s ‘Fresh’ and Gwen Guthrie for instance. On the
flipside however are the wonderfully soulful ‘A Love Supreme’ from Will
Downing, Eric B & Rakim, Grandmaster Flash and Tone Loc – all in unedited
glory.
