There’s nothing like a dose of warm west coast house to lift the spirits with the nights drawing in, and Jay-J has proved himself to be one of its best exponents. On ‘Connected’, the first of a new Defected spin-off, he delivers handsomely, employing sultry vocals from the likes of Lisa Shaw and Latrice Bennett, funking things up with Bongoloverz and his own collaborations with Halo Varga and Miguel Migs. Irresistibly good.
