Various Artists – Four to the Floor Part 3 – (Diynamic)

After an incredible summer that saw the Diynamic label release more big hits from boss Solomun and hot talents Adriatique, they have recently turned to their next generation of stars. They have done so with a series of four new EPs featuring brand new producers from around the world and after the huge successes of the first two comes this, a third part of the picture.

This latest instalment kicks off with D33P, Jos & Eli and their ‘Galactica’ track. It’s a subtle and supple affair with thick basslines, feathery light synth patterns and lots of spacey vibes. Next up, Israeli duo Daniel Rave and Yoav ‘Joe’ Rave aka. JoMaJo aka Audio Junkies come correct with Banksy, a lush, emotive deep shoe number with organic finger clicks, rolling bass and lots of starry melodies. Then it’s the turn of HoBo who has had some success in the techno field before now with his releases on Minus. His track is all jangling xylophone sounds, happy colours and tribal african vocals that will surely become one of the labels biggest tracks of recent times. Last but not least is Jobb & Corco with ‘African Ballad’, which as the name suggest, is an afro tinged tune with big drums, coarse textures and lots of carnival atmospheres and dramatic peaks. On this evidence, the Diynamic label is sure to keep right at the top of the pile whine comes to the day’s best labels.
