Bent’s Simon Mills and Nail Tolliday are obviously no strangers to a late night mix or two, and this set for the Seamless Later series hits the spot perfectly, moving between mellow house and playful funk with an effortless poise. Refreshingly the duo opt for lesser known grooves from artists such as Furry Phreaks and Olau Browkke Mathisen, complementing these with the odd quirk or two from Wagon Christ and Bent themselves. It’s a nocturnal treat requiring no effort whatsoever for the listener.
