The Masterclass got off to a good first lesson with Mousse T, but now Tony Humphries has raised the bar with a strong vocal club mix on his first CD, and a second set that relaxes the vibe for some wonderful sun-drenched garage/house. This one’s the pick of the two, with the sultry Andy Caldwell track ‘Brand New Day’, Ray J remixed by Maurice Joshua and some reminders of Balearic warmth from Liquid People and Haldo. The upfront CD1 isn’t exactly short on good time moments either, with Kerri Chandler, Antoine Claraman and Ann Nesby especially inspiring. Proof that Humphries is still at the top of his game.
