A truly three dimensional set from Satoshi Tomiie, not quite what you’d expect from this source. Sure, CD1 is business as usual, an excellent selection of funky, techy house with an 80s synth or two in evidence – top stuff. Then it’s a CD of self productions, containing the frankly marvellous ‘Tears’ alongside other quality originals and remixes of Kosheen and Future Sound of London. And then the surprise, a third CD of chill out, funk and jazz, containing such oddly paired gems as Sneaker Pimps, Miles Davis and Weather Report. A hugely enjoyable triptych, and an original concept. CD1 still does it for me though!
