Another peek at the Brighton based label’s musical larder, and as ever, it’s dripping with rich, sticky, ear-tickling temptations. Familiar names like Jonathan Krisp, Digital Midgets, Lost Idol and La Femme get busy with re-wired easy listening, disco, boogie, bits and breaks, but there’s room for newer friends like the lush Sunday morning folk vibes of King Seven, and Outerlectual’s addictively woozy funk of “Don’t Fight The Flux”. And there’s familiar names from the clubbing past with Justice & DJ Pulse making a welcome return on the left-ist hip-hop “Sounds Like Science”. Implosion Quintet also make good their earlier promise with two nicely imagined soundtracks to films that never were. Brilliant – well worthy of your hard earned crust.
