It’s been a while since we’ve had a mix on record from Lexicon Avenue, which makes their contribution to the first CD of Dave Seaman’s ongoing ‘Sessions’ series all the more welcome. Their set of heavy-footed house storms through cracking tracks from Nick K, Plastikman and Klement Borelli, with the highlight a Lexicon remix of Dylan Rhymes’ ‘Coming Clean’, which has a probing bass line and emotive vocals. Seaman does what only he can and paces CD2 to perfection, the cool openings from Habersham and Klaus Schneider eventually giving way to harder tracks from Shiloh and Steve Angello. There’s two fine mixes here – but the Lexicon boys just shade it.
