Hed Kandi compilations appear with about the same regularity as my hot dinners, but Twisted Disco is a bit spicier, a welcome foray into something a bit tougher. Initial signs are promising, with Dylan Rhymes, Alter Ego and Tiefschwarz, but a couple of let downs occur with the faux rock of Kush or the unconvincing vocal sample of Yer Man. That said, anyone wanting their house music cranked up a bit will find a few nuggets here, such as the King Unique mix of the Funky Lowlives’ ‘Sail Into The Sun’ – a classy moment.
