‘Computed’ is spot on as a subtitle for the first part of Zabiela’s double mix, and while it may be machine developed, plenty of natural highs are on offer from Lee Coombs, Will Saul’s uniquely easy paced breaks and a thumping good remix of Aphex Twin’s ‘Windowlicker’ from Kriece. Part two, subtitled ‘Recorded’, is more obscure but still recognisably Zabiela in its mixing style – Martin C, Rob Mooney and PMT all making notable contributions. It seems with every release that an increasingly confident Zabiela is becoming the pretender to Sasha’s throne.
