Whether Miami retains the influence it once did a few years ago is questionable – what isn’t in doubt, though, is the flood of compilations it prompts, dance music to welcome in the spring (in theory!). Azuli’s has been the most reliable in finding the big hitters, and so it proves in this pair of polished mixes. Axwell’s ‘Submarina’, Fred Falke’s ‘Love Theme’ and the Jesse Rose remix of Claude Von Stroke’s ‘The Whistler’ all make the first CD on this double a heavyweight prospect, while second time around it’s Radio Slave, Laidback Luke, Mark Mendes and Pryda doing the business. A solid round up of the start of the party season.
